It is a matter that has been trying to be resolved since ancient times and currently, although advanced technology is available, it continues to be the workhorse of different research groups. In this work, after an introduction and background, some of the contributions that try to answer the interesting question are gathered and discussed.
- El acta consentimiento informado del paciente. ¿Cuándo el informar se transfigura en desinformación?(Universitat de València: Unitat Docent de Medicina Legal, 2023) Araujo Cuauro, Juan CarlosEl consentimiento médico informado no debe interpretarse exclusivamente como un requisito o formalidad legal para conseguir que sea firmado por quien lo otorga o conceda, sino como un documento pleno que evidencia el proceso comunicativo entre el equipo de salud y el paciente. El objetivo de la investigaciónes es hacer una descripción de los diferentes problemas éticos, deontológicos y legales que se le plantean al médico/a durante la relación médico-paciente en el ejercicio práctico asistencial sobre el acta documento consentimiento médico informado de cómo debe ser la información, a quién se informa o se desinformar. Metodología: Se llevó a cabo una búsqueda bibliográfica, en Pubmed, Medline, Embase, entre otros., se incluyeron diversos artículos de investigación la cual se aborda desde el enfoque cualitativo documental con la revisión bibliográfica. El consentimiento médico informado no puede, ni debe ser apreciado como un acto preciso, formal o la sencilla firma de un documento en representación de un acto administrativo o burocrático, sino que, más bien, debe ser considerado como un proceso persistente y progresivo en virtud del cual el paciente-usuario de un servicio médico asistencial percibe u obtiene información suficiente y comprensiva para intervenir en las decisiones o determinación con respecto al diagnóstico y a la acción terapéutica más idónea que se le puede brindar para su enfermedad. Conclusiones. podemos concluir que aún hay un largo camino a ser asentado y consolidado para llegar a definir esta práctica como éticamente completa y correcta donde el informar no se transfigura en desinformación.
- Drugs on fingerprints: a short review(Universitat de València: Unitat Docent de Medicina Legal, 2023) Fuentes Landete, VioletaThe significance of fingerprints for either criminal or civil purposes, has been recognized since thousands of years ago. They are enormously valuable due to their uniqueness and persistent through life. At the beginning of the 20th century, they became a powerful tool for personal identification. The detection of latent fingermarks is actually a challenge, and this analytical problem has been investigated and improved significantly over the last 20 years due to the combined efforts from several research groups. Although usually they are employed on examination and comparison of the characteristic ridge skin patterns, it has been explained that the chemical composition of a fingermark can reveal very important information about the donor. This chemical composition provides generous assistance and new intelligence during an investigation, since it shows the endogenous or exogenous substances that one has been in contact with. For instance, it can expose if an individual has been in contact or consumed drugs during or prior the crime. To be able to gain this additional information from a fingermark, technology should be able to detect and reveal the chemical content. Here, a short review on the importance of fingermarks is presented together with the latest achievements and developments for the analysis of drugs on fingerprints.
