Aportació del teatre costumista i de la premsa satírica del segle XIX a la història del lèxic català. Rafael Maria Liern

A pesar del volum considerable i de la gran diversitat d'obres i d'autors que representa la producció teatral i la premsa satírica en valencià al segle xix, fora d'alguna excepció com Bernat i Baldoví i Eduard Escalante, compten encara amb molt poca atenció per part dels filòlegs, tant dels historiadors de la llengua com de la literatura. Per això, en aquest article hem volgut referirnos a Rafael Maria Liern, un dels autors més destacats de la generació de comediògrafs que continuaren l'obra de Bernat i Baldoví, el qual, també com Bernat, va participar en la direcció periodística. En aquest treball ens ocupem fonamentalment del lèxic de l'obra teatral i periodística de Liern, especialment de les noves aportacions respecte als diccionaris històrics i etimològics. Demostrem així la utilitat de la literatura costumista del segle xix per a la lexicografia històrica. Igualment, es demostra l'interés del teatre costumista del segle xix per a l'estudi dels usos lingüístics i del valor simbòlic de la llengua, en una situació de minorització lingüística i de diglòssia. ---- In spite of the considerable volume and vast range of works and authors in Valencian theatrical production and satirical press in the 19th century, with just a handful of exceptions like Bernat i Baldoví and Eduard Escalante these works were paid very little attention by philologists, both historians of language and of literature. Therefore, in this article we wanted to discuss Rafael Maria Liern, one of the most prominent writers of the generation of theatrical authors who continued the work of Bernat i Baldoví, and who, like Bernat as well, participated in journalistic direction. In this work, we fundamentally examine the lexicon of Liern's theatrical and journalistic oeuvre, especially new contributions with regard to historical and etymological dictionaries. Through lexicon, we show the interest that the popular literature of the 19th century holds for historical lexicography. We also demonstrate the interest that 19thcentury popular theater holds for the study of linguistic usages and the symbolic value of language in a process of linguistic replacement and diglossia.
