The objective of this article is to present a tool, with two systems of categories validated previously, to facilitate the analysis of the images printed in the textbooks of Physical Education in the stage of Primary Education. The tool is a php application, called SAIMEF (System of Analysis of Images in Physical Education), which consists of two systems of categories for the analysis: SC-I for the images in which the human figure appears performing physical activity and SC- II for the rest of the images. Specifically, three dimensions of analysis are established in SC-I: technical characteristics of the image (type of image, color and size), characteristics of the character (sex-grouping, age, race, somatotype, clothing and disability) and characteristics of physical activity (activity carried out, block of content, space and level of practice). In the SC-II, four dimensions are established: technical characteristics of the image, other images related to the character (people without AF practice and human body), other images related to physical activity (installation, material, Olympic Games and Paralympic Games) and other images. The pilot test, the panel of experts and the intercoding test endorsed the scientific criteria of said tool.
