(1986) Navarro Ortiz, R.; López Alonso, A.; López Urrutia, J.; Garcés Martín, Gerardo; Navarro, E.
Fourty cases of Total Hip replacement with the MITTELMEIER's prothesis are reported. In 20 of them a fibrine coating was used in order to improve the biological setting of the acetabulum and femoral components. Ten cases were operated following the original Mittelmeier's technique. The results in both series are very similar, but the authors suggest the valuable use of the fibrine to estimulate the ossification around the prothesis component for a quicker biological fixation.

(1986) González Ibañez, E.; Cienfuegos Hevia, F.; López Fernández, P; Coscujuela, A.; Murcia Mazón, Antonio

We were carrying out a retrospective study about the epidemiology of Pulmonary Embolísm on híp's pathology. 300 cases of the hip's pathology are revíewed, which takes a period of 5 years (1975-1980), registering 13 cases (4'3%) of pulmonary embolísms, no havíng been carried out in any of them an anticoagulative prophy laxis. This percentage is similar to the one showned by anothers authors. We try to value the possible rísk-factors at the apparition of the Pulmonary Embolism in this group of patients. We emphsize the following facts about our work: The nonexistent of Pulmonary Embolism in patients under 50 years old in our casuisty. A bigger incident on patients operated upon coxarthosis, with respect to another etiologys. The nonexistent of Pulmonary Embolism in surgical-treated patients though the Ender's enclaved. The majority of the pulmonary embolism are showned after JO days of the surgical intervention. We realized the reviewed books, the importance of putting into action on the riskfactors, thus remarking the high percentage of Pulmonary embolism in necropsics studies over clinical indetected patients.

Recambios artroplásticos de cadera por fracasos mecánicos
(1986) Hernández Vaquero, Daniel; Paz Jiménez, José; Pérez Pérez, M.; Domínguez Gil, I.
Twenty-five from 440 cases of hip arthroplasty were treated ·by rescue operation because of mechanical failures after the first operation. The resurfacing model of arthroplasty" gave the poorest results. In 7 patients (28%) the results were very poor. The complications are analysed and the bibliography is reviewed. The authors hop the new types of cementless prothesis are the best solution for these failures

    Artropatía neuropática diabética del tobillo
    (1986) Iborra Bosch, J.; Tintó, M.
An unusual localisation of Charcot's joint disease is the ankle. A 31 year old patient developped a Charcot's joint after a trivial trauma, the spontaneus fracture of the tallus was followed by a quick joint destroy.

    (1986) Roca Burniol, J.
A case of ankylosing Spondylitis with Kyphosis by Spondylodiscitis is reported. The Kyphosis is progressive and the mobility on the vertex of the curve. The surgical treatment by anterior approach confirms the diagnosis and allows to perform the surgical correction of the deformity.

A prospective study of femoral shaft fractures in children less than 14 years old has been practised in 71 patients annually revised clinically and radiographically. Processing of data has been carried out with multivariate models. Femoral overgrowth (SF) averaged 8'63 mm. (range 1-21), and was found to be influenced by: age (greater SF in children between 3 and 9 years); initial displacement of fracture-fragments (greater SF in fractures severely displaced), and overriding of the fragments at time of healing ( overriding diminish overgrowth). SF was a universal phenomenon that occurs fundamentally along the first year of evolution, extending in the 27 per cent of the cases until the fifth year of evolution; from this moment, the growth speeds of both femurs were equalled in ali cases. Ipsilateral tibial overgrowth ocurrs only in 45 per cent of the patients and average 0'65 mm. (1-5). Angulations in frontal and sagital planes tended to correct totally if they were under 10º on the first plane and 15º on the second, regarding physiological values. Malrotations were not very frequent, being influenced by treatment and level of fracture. It seems they have a tendency to correct with growth.

Osteoma osteoide : estudio de 14 casos
(1986) Galán Labaca, V.; Gómez Luzuroaga, M.A.; Armendariz Mendizabal, P.; Arrate Barragan, F.; Zabalza Estévez, I.
The osteoid Osteoma is relatively a non uncommon benign tumour whose radiological and clinical findings usually present diagnosis problems. 14 cases of this tumour have been treated at this Orthopaedic Department along the. last 10 years. The block resection of the tumoral nidus seems to be the electcd treatment, not having observed any recurrencies.

(1986) López Alonso, A.; Diaz Acosta, A.; Pais Brito, J.L.; Friend Sicilia, H.

(1986) Sanchis-Guarner i Cabanilles, Manuel; Castillo Pallares, J.; Gastaldi Orquin, E.; Ciudad Platero, J.; Heredia Marin, E.; Rodrigo Montesa, O.
