- Aportaciones sobre Centaurea × zubiae Pau y taxones relacionados (Asteraceae) en el arco ibérico(floramontiberica.org, 2024) Patino Sánchez, Santiago; Urrutia, Pello; Valencia Janices, JavierWe have carried out a field study and revision of the taxons from the sect. Acrocentron (Cass.) DC. subsect. Lagascanae Fdez. Casas & Susanna of the genus Centaurea L. (Asteraceae) on the mountains of the Iberian Arch and related areas. We have revised the current nomenclatural-taxonomic treatment and the distribution of the studied species and we propose a diagram of the possible phylogenetic relationships between them. As a novelty, we propose the following species and principal combinations: Centaurea zubiae Pau, pro hybr., C. podospermifolia Loscos & Pardo subsp. soriana Patino, Urrutia & Valencia, C. × loscosii Willk. nothosubsp. andresiana (Fdez. Casas & Susanna) Patino, Urrutia & Valencia, C. × uribeechebarriae Patino, Urrutia & Valencia, C. alejandrei Patino, Urrutia & Valencia, C. × segurae Patino, Urrutia & Valencia and C. × pseudolagascana Patino, Urrutia & Valencia. We also dismiss the synonymy between C. × losana Pau and C. × andresii López Pacheco
- Custodio Campo García (Bielsa, 1830): carta autobiográfica del botánico de los Pirineos centrales(floramontiberica.org, 2024) Jaime Lorén, José María deCustodio Campo García was a very little-known Aragonese pharmacist and botanist who explored in depth the flora of the Huesca Pyrenees. Francisco Loscos names him in some publications as a great naturalist who was quite unfortunate in his personal life. In this article we will have the opportunity to confirm both opinions, for which we have a touching autobiographical letter accompanied by lists of Bielsa and Fiscal plants.
- Botanist Luis Née and the nomenclatural type of the cosmopolitan common reed, Phragmites australis (Poaceae)(floramontiberica.org, 2024) Ferrer Gallego, Pedro PabloThe lectotypification of the Cavanillesian name Arundo australis is discussed. The designation of the nomenclatural type was based on a specimen preserved in the Cavanilles herbarium kept in the Royal Botanic Garden of Madrid and collected by Luis Née in Botanical Bay during the Malaspina Expedition (1789-1794). The lectotype of the name Phragmites pumilus is also designated. This species was described by Willkomm and currently the name is treated as a heterotypic synonym of Phragmites australis.
- eucrium × jaragueense, nothosp. nov. (sect. Polium, Labiatae), nuevo híbrido para la flora valenciana(floramontiberica.org, 2024) Ferrer Gallego, Pedro Pablo; Roselló Gimeno, Roberto; Gómez Navarro, José; Peris Gisbert, Juan BautistaA new hybrid of Teucrium (sect.
- A new hybrid from Spain in the genus Pinus (Pinaceae)(floramontiberica.org, 2024) Ferrer Gallego, Pedro Pablo; Laguna Lumbreras, Emilio; Roselló Gimeno, Roberto; Peris Gisbert, Juan BautistaA natural hybrid in Pinus, P. × saportae nothosubsp. currasii is described from some localities in Valencian province (Spain), where both parents are found growing together. Morphological characters in this hybrid are intermediate between putative parental species: P. halepensis and P. pinaster subsp. escarena. We speculate that the hybrids examined are natural results of several generations of hybridization events. This hybrid may be more widespread but overlooked. Distinguishing features of all three taxa are thoroughly discussed and illustrated
- Atlas de las orquídeas silvestres de la ZEC Humada-Peña Amaya (Burgos)(floramontiberica.org, 2024) González Ortega, David; Álvarez Gómez, Enrique; Peláez, Jorge; Sánchez Fernández, Rafael; Gallego Rojas, Nicolás; García Guerra, JavierAn approximation to the catalogue of wild orchids present in the SAC Humada-Peña Amaya (Burgos, North of Spain) has been made. At the moment this catalogue achieves 58 species included in 17 genus. Taking into account the previous bibliographic data and the new chorological data that is provided in this work, there have been created maps for all orchid species found in this area. These maps have been made using UTM 1 × 1 km grid cells. In the description of each taxa there is information about its taxonomy, distribution, biogeographical and preservation interests.
