- Pérdida de Hueso Tibial(1990) Maya Segrelles, C.; Albert Cortel, L.The viability of a bone segment of the tibia, preserved by lyophilization and reimplanted two month after the accident is reported in one case. The method used in the present case can be an alternative in Centers without facilities of microsurgical unit or bone banks.
- Osteosíntesis externa: Rigidez y Elasticidad(1990) Villanueva Garcia, L.; Albert Cortel, L.; Maya Segrelles, C.The authors review the experience obtained in the treatment of tibial and fibular open fractures with important soft tissue s attrition corresponding to Cauchoix's grade II and III. In a series of 15 cases they have used the Hoffman-Vidal's external fixer and in other series of 15 case s they have used the Orthofix monolateral external fixer. The method of elastic fixation (the Orthofix monolateral external fixer) is highly reliable in the knitting process and results in a shortening in the period of tretament in comparison with the method of rigid fixation (the Hoffman-Vidal's external fixer).
- Degeneración Basal versus Degeneración Superficial en la Condromalacia Rotuliana(1990) López Alonso, A.; Cuevas Castresana, Carlos de las; Díaz Flores, L.; Alvares Argüelles, H.; Aznar Aznar, A.A special study with samples of tissue s from some patients suffering chondromalacia patellae, arthrosis, and two patients as control, is made. The morphological findings are quite similar in both case s of chondromalacia patellae and arthrosis. Therefore chondromalacia can be consider as a prearthrosis patellar stadium, although in the chondromalacia state, the fenomenous of rarefaction in the matrix of cartilage, superficial and middle of the rotula, are more important.
- Displasia Epiphysalis Capitis Femoris : (Displasia de Meyer)(1990) Silvestre Muñoz, Antonio; Gascó Gómez, J.; Gastaldi Orquín, EnriqueSe presentan 13 casos de Displasia Epifisaria de la cabeza femoral analizando los problemas diagnósticos con otras patologías y especialmente con la enfermedad de Perthes. Se discute su posible patogenia de probable origen vascular dada la relación entre ambos procesos.
- Valoración del efecto de la calcitonina en la consolidación de la fractura de Colles(1990) Paz Jiménez, José; López-Fanjul Menéndez, J. C.; Riera Gonzalez, Luis; Menéndez Rodríguez, A.J.; Suárez Vázquez, A.Se estudian cuarenta pacientes en que se ha producido una Fractura de Epífisis Distal de Radio (Fractura de POUTEAU-COLLES) en pacientes mayores de cincuenta años, con signos de osteoroporosis. Se han hecho dos grupos aleatorios de veinte pacientes. El grupo A se ha tratado con un programa de calcitonina y calcio que cubre los tres primeros meses. El grupo B es tratado exclusivamente con calcio, por igual período. En ambos la reducción e inmovilización sigue los mismos criterios. Se evalúan los resultados, observando que el grupo A presenta menos secuelas dolorosas.
- Nuestra Experiencia en el Estudio con Ultrasonografía en la Cadera Neonatal(1990) Jiménez Jiménez, C.; López Moratalla, M.; López Moratalla, G.; Jiménez Jiménez, R.; López Garrido, Mª J.; Villen Jaldo, A.The authors are studied by ultrasonography 112 newborns (224 hips) with clinical signs of congenital dysplasia and dislocation of the hip. The results obtained are compared with clinical findings and radiographic study emphasizing the diagnostic limitations of the clasics maneuvistes of physical examination and radiography. They conclude that the ultrasonography is the most sure method and innocuous to the early diagnosis of the congenital dysplasia and dislocation of the hip at the newborn.
