- Visibilidad, impacto y transferencia del conocimiento en revistas científicas de educación : la experiencia de Aula Magna 2.0(2020) Ruiz Corbella, Marta; López Gómez, Ernesto; Arteaga Martínez, Blanca; Galán González, ArturoThe value to society of the transfer of scientific knowledge is indisputable, however, it is essential to uncover effective transfer strategies in order to generate social and educational impact. This article aims to analyse the relevance and impact of the dissemination of scientific articles on the science development process and its transfer to society. This study also reflects on the use of new dissemination channels to increase the visibility and transfer of scientific developments. Specifically, it explores the analytics of the blog used by the Aula Magna 2.0 consortium as a science dissemination resource to generate impact. The article follows a descriptive quantitative methodology that is based on an empirical analysis of data collective from the collaborative academic blog of the aforementioned consortium. It examines the potential of this blog to promote visibility, impact and knowledge transfer in the context of scientific education journals. The main findings highlight the relevance of new scientific communication channels, as well as the need for new indicators and criteria for assessing academic and social impact. These new channels increase research visibility and provide opportunities to transfer produced knowledge by adapting the communicative approach, format and style to different target groups. In the case of the Aula Magna 2.0 blog, the data presented allows us to conclude that it is a valuable tool for disseminating knowledge through a collaboration strategy, while also generating social and educational impact.
- Evolución de la edición científica en revistas de Ciencias Sociales y determinación de Latinoamérica como ecosistema característico(2020) Aliaga Abad, F.The evolution of scientific publishing from its origins to the most recent changes is analyzed, identifying trends and main problems. A specific analysis is made of the publication of Social Sciences journals in the Hispanic sphere and, more in depth, in Latin America, identifying the characteristics and profiles that define it as a differentiated group with its own characteristics and problems and with alternative proposals of great interest.
- Psychometric analysis of a test to assess the digital competence of compulsory education students(2020) Casillas Martín, Sonia; Cabezas González, Marcos; García-Valcárcel Muñoz-Repiso, AnaValid and reliable information-gathering tools are necessary if research on digital competence is to provide valuable information that is able to guide education policies on the development of digital competence and the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) into the educational systems of different countries. The aim of the present work is to validate a test that assesses the digital competence of students in compulsory education (ECODIES) in the areas of general knowledge, ability and attitude, using the Development and Understanding of Digital Competence in Europe Framework (DigComp) as the foundation for this research. This tool, designed by a university research team, was used on a sample of 771 students. The easiness/difficulty index and dimensions of the test were analyzed, as well as its validity and reliability. It was concluded that ECODIES is an original and novel test that features good psychometric properties that qualify it as a reliable and valid instrument for directly measuring digital competence by reflecting on real situations and problem solving.
- RELIEVE : 15 años de investigación y evaluación educativa(2020) Ruiz Pérez, Rafael; Jiménez Contreras, EvaristoAims: To conduct a bibliometric analysis of papers published by the Relieve journal in the last 15 years. Considered papers were indexed by the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), which is a new Web of Science (WOS) database that aims to correct the poor coverage of national journals in some countries. Methods: Data source: 195 Relieve articles indexed according to the ESCI. Some 7,408 citations included in these 195 papers were analyzed. A total of 599 relevant citations recorded by the journal were also analyzed. Topics covered by the journal were also studied. For this purpose, author-keywords from the 195 papers were merged and analyzed using the VOSviewer software tool. Results: Papers included an average of 38.19 ± 6.5 citations. The authors and journals cited were mainly Spanish but a significant proportion of foreign impact journals (40%) were also found. The references cited in Relieve came almost exclusively from Spanish journals included in WOS in the education and educational research categories. The majority of published papers also came from Spanish institutions (75.6%), particularly the universities of Valencia and Granada. Most citations came from research papers published in Spanish journals. Amongst the research topics to have occupied the pages of Relieve, those related to higher education and PISA most stood out. Conclusions: The citations identified reveal appropriate consumption of international scientific literature by the publishing authors. However, these citations also highlighted a strong focus in published research on local issues and, as a consequence, this research is not highly considered by researchers from other countries. At the moment, Relieve's presence in ESCI-WOS has not yet been translated into gains regarding reduced research isolation and has failed to mobilize its international incorporation in terms of a more global impact.
