- Controvèrsia inquisitorial al segle XVIII entorn de la pintura d’una beata estigmatitzada(2016) Esponera Cerdán, Alfonso; Sastre Alzamora, Maria PilarAbstract: In 1738, in the church of the convent at Santo Domingo at Palma, a friar offers some theological ‘literal conclusions’ which he dedicates to the Blessed dominican Lucía de Narni. The Inquisition, influenced by the Franciscans, denounces and orders the suspension of the designated academic ceremony. The Dominicans appeal to Madrid and Rome. This is another example of women, along with other stigmatized, that were victims of the monopolistic attitude of the Franciscans. It is also an expression of the chronic confrontations between the two mendicants orders in Mallorca. Keywords: Stigmatized, Dominican, Franciscan, Mallorca

In all women’s lives, biographers followed a pattern or archetype and this was reproduced until well into the eighteenth century, and persisted up to the ninteenth century. However, it is necessary to explore each biography in more detail, to understand that each woman’s life was also one and unique. Only in that way, each of those women will be able to recover the prominence they once had. Keywords: Laywoman, Modern Age, biography, father confessor, spirituality.

El primero contiene: la exposición literal y mística de los psalmos penitenciales; el segundo, la preparación para la muerte; el tercero, coloquios del alma christiana con Dios; el quarto, fundamento sólido de la oración por ser todo fundado en el santo Evangelio (Valencia, Jaime de Bordázar, 1683) and which present a complex textual transmission, given that some of them were modified in various editions. By comparing the different testimonies of the compositions that we edit, we intend to provide new interpretative materials, which might contribute to a better understanding of the building process of the image of the author’s holiness in the XVII century, in the new framework of the post-tridentine catholic reform.
