Estructura del esqueleto en la osteogenesis imperfecta : a propósito de dos casos
(1986) Almenar Medina, Sergio M.; González Devesa, Manuel; Santonja Lucas, José Juan; Llombart Bosch, Antonio
A description is made of the pathological findings of two fetuses affected by lethal congenital osteogenesis imperfecta. A review of the latest bibliography is made on the clinico-pathological, biochemical and genetic aspects of the four types of osteogenesis imperfecta (01) described in the classification of SILLENCE et al. The most constant skeletal alterations in lethal congenital 01 (type 11 of SILLENCE) are considered to be: a) Difficulty in the macroscopic identification of membranous bone of the cranial vault; b) Thin cortical regions consiting of reticular bony tissue with multiple chondrogenic fracture callus; c) Metaphyseal fractures with structural collapse; d) Absence of the RANVIER ossiflcation groove; e) Hyperosteocytosis with a decrease in the amount of bony tissue; f) lncrease in the size of the epiphyseal and growth cartilage vasculÍlr channels.

Injerto de fibrocart1lago meniscal en los defectos osteocondrales : estudio experimental
(1986) Gomar Sancho, Francisco; Gastaldi Orquin, E.
The authors report an experimental work with 18 rabbits. An osteochondral deffect is tailored in the weight-bearing area of the medial condile of the knee, this osteochondral deffect is refilled with a matching piece taken from the lateral meniscus. An optical histological examination and triptium-timidine up-take are performed three days after refilling time in one, two, three, four, six, eight, ten and twelve weeks. This study showed the meniscus graft maintaining its whole histological structure and taking the triptium-timidine along all the experiment length, with a perfect fitting and union with the bone tissue.

Crecimiento femorotibial en miembros inmovilizados de rata
    (1986) Garcés Martín, Gerardo
An experimental study has been carried out using rats stills in the growth stage, whose right hindlimbs have been immobilized. Weekly, during four weeks, the animals were destroyed and measurements taken of the tibias and femurs, establishing that the rate of tibialis growth was higher in the immobilized limb than in the free limb (p. o. 001). The femurs, however, showed a similarity of measurement in both limbs. Our findings show that immobilization of a limb in a functional position is in no way prejudicial to bone growth.

Estudio clínico y tratamiento del Genu-Valgum por epifisiodesis temporal con grapas de Blount
    (1986) Díaz-Sarabia Azcarate, C.; Aspichueta, Patrcicia; Morillo Gotor, E.; Ayuso Sainz, J.
Our work intends to evaluate, the results of the epiphysis staples in the Genu-valgus of the adolescent, by means of Blount staples. One hundred and twenty ( 120) epiphysiodesis have been performed out of a total of one thousand, seven hundred and forty (l.740) examined knees, the number of inmediate complications (rigidity and hemarthros) or late ones (staples expulsion) have being very limited. The clinic and radiographic criterious fallowed by us are also described here. The evaluation of the results «a posteriori» after a full growth, turns out to be a 90% of positive cases under our responsability. This surgical technique is consider would be the most important on to treat the idiopatic Genu-valgus of the adolescent. Therefore, we consider this surgical technique, as primary indication to treat the idiopatic Genu-valgus of the adolescent.
