- La osteotomia en la coxartrosis (30 casos)(1987) Navarro García, Ricardo; López Urrutia, J.; Navarro, E.30 cases of osteoarthritis of the hip treated with varus femoral osteotomy are colIected. The surgical technique and results are described. The latter postop X-rays suggest a remodelling and growth of the articular cartilage of the head and also of the acetabulum.
- Modificaciones histoquimicas de la fisis proximal tibial de ratas sometidas a stress emocional cronico(1987) Garcés Martín, Gerardo; Jiménez Díaz, Juan Fernando; Ramírez González, J.A.Se realiza un trabajo experimental con 50 ratas machos de un mes de edad. la mitad de las cuales se somete a stress crónico mediante restricción de su espacio vital. Tras ser sacrificadas al cabo de 1, 2, 4, 8 Y 12 semanas se estudió la presencia de proteoglicanos sulfatados en la fisis tibial proximal con la técnica del azul alcián. Los resultados demuestran que desde la primera semana las ratas stressadas presentaron una escasa apetencia por el colorante azul en casi toda la fisis, salvo en los núcleos de la capa hipertrófica. Esta característica se mantuvo durante toda la experiencia. Los animales controles mostraron una gran captación inicial que fue perdiéndose progresivamente hasta ser igual a la de los stressados al cabo de doce semanas. Se sugiere que el stress da lugar a un frenado inicial en la actividad de los condrocitos proliferativos. Su actividad va recuperándose a medida que los animales se adaptan hasta llegar a normalizarse. El tiempo transcurrido de bajo rendimiento fisario aconseja evitar esta situación en niños con problemas ortopédicos o traumatológicos.

- Osteotomias de centraje en la enfermedad de perthes(1987) Rodríguez Soto, J. M.; Vázquez Suárez, G.; Gutierrez Granda, M.E.; Murcia Mazón, Antonio30 cases of Perthes disease treated with varus femoral osteotomy are reported. Three cases were cornbined with innorninated osteotorny. The c1inical radiographical results were: 60% good, 33'3% fair and 6'6% poor. The authors advice the ostoetorny during the treatrnent with the airn of reducing the evolution period and disturb patients and parents the least.
- Osteotomias y fracturas del trocanter mayor en la artroplastia total de cadera(1987) García Suárez, G.; Prieto Montaña, J. R.; Moreno Torre, J. J.; Fernández Gutiérrez, D.; García García, F. J.A revísíon of the osteotomies and fractures in the greater trochanter in the total hips arthoplasties is made. 39 osteotomies were carried out on 77 reoperations due to failed arthoplasty from 1975 until 1984 and, at the same time, 37 fractures of the greater tronchanter were found in 1677 total hips. The techniques of trochanteric reattachment are described by wiring those most frequently used and we come to the conclusion that these are bearable, as long the separation between fragments does not exceed 2 cm.

The authors suggest this surgical method as adviceable.
