- Il condominio di Via della Notte. Invito alla narrativa di Maria Attanasio(2014) Messina, NicolòMaria Attanasio is a skilful poet and novelist, that has been writing since the seventies. She has published six books of poems (one translated into Spanish, and two into English) and seven of prose narrative. Her novels are historical, but in the line of novelized history, and they range from the seventeenth century to the present day. Her latest novel, The Building on Night St., moves to a dystopian future that is already part of our present. The protagonists of her books are all 'nonaligned', outcasts and rebels; they are all women with one exception (The Forger of Caltagirone). All of them take place in Eastern Sicily and the land of Attanasio's birthplace, Caltagirone. The exception is her latest novel, Il condominio di Via della Notte (The Building on Night St.), set in the imaginary Nordia. Her narrative language is marked diatopically and diachronically: it shows the sign of Sicilian and echoes of the language of the century in which each book is situated

Comparing the text of the novel with the paratext of the book, the article analyses some sure results of the paratext, and also some strategic gaps and reticences.
- Benedetto Croce y El problema del mal en el horizonte del pensamiento hegeliano(2014) Cavaciuti, SantinoAmong those modern philosophers who have studied significantly the problem of evil, Benedetto Croce must be without doubt mentioned. The present essay focuses not on Croce’s complete theory of evil, but on the “answer” he offered in his interpretation of Hegel’s writings, considering that evil is necessary since, without it, reality couldn’t exist and that reality is a synthesis of good and evil.

- Croce.
- Croce, la religión y el cristianismo(2014) Bonetti, PaoloThe studies focused on the presence of Christianity in B. Croce’s philosophy have gained recently a new impulse, questioning his supposed conversion to Catholicism. In this sense, the article analyses the evolution of B. Croce’s thinking, considering that, although his philosophical system changed in the last years of his lifetime, due mostly to the dramatic events during the II World War, Croce never rejected a rigorous immanent point of view, avoiding any kind of transcendental consolation. The author proposes, in that way of thinking, the study of the following points of Croce’s philosophy: Dialogue on God in a correspondence; The immortality of the soul and the controversy against the Modernism; The Providence and the Grace; The Christian Revolution; The Christianity and the crisis of the Civilization
- La categoría de la vitalidad en el último Croce(2014) Troncarelli, BarbaraThe divergence between historical reality and moral ideal, in other words, the fight of vital and moral forces, is one of the most important priorities in Benedetto Croce’s ultimate philosophical thought. In this sense, he elaborates a deep criticism of the extreme Vitalism that led to the II World War, considered not as a categorical force of the spirit, but a force that can be identified with a kind of irrationality of individual origin. In this context, his reflections about religion and the relation with the state become very important, as well as the discovery of suffering, or to put in another way, the ethics of suffering, that replaces the previous “discovery of the utility” as another, and deeper, key to understand reality.
