- Luxaciones carpo-metacarpianas(1986) Iborra Bosch, J.; Fernández Fernández, C.I.; Jolín Sánchez del Campo, TomásThree cases of multiple carpo-metacarpal dislocation are reported. Thcir mechanism, anatomical details and clinical aspects are commented. The treatment is discussed, reduction, with emphasis in its stabilization.
A.; Moreno Pascual, Carlos; Ferrández Portal, LuisThe results obtained in 268 cases presenting with diafisar}· fracture of the forearm, double or isolated in radius or ulna, at the same or different leve!, including fractures of Monteggia and Galeazzi, are here presented. In this series 169 out of the 268 cases wcrc children 89%. of them treated orthopedically and 11 % quirurgically, 7'Yo with intramedullary nailing, 0'8% with screwd plates and 3'2% using thc both latter techniques. In thc 99 adults presenting these fractures, orthopedical treatment was only adopted in 33'3% of the cases and 66'7% were treated quirurgically, using screwed plates in 53, intramedullary nailing in 7 and combined techniques in 9. Global results in children were excellent, presented light late complications only in 5'3% of the cases, consisting mainly in secondary displacements and delayed union. Though the adult group offered also very satisfactory functional results the number of complications were significantly higher, with special reference to pseudoarthrosis present in 7% of cases and with lower incidence when screwed plates were use.
- Perfil histoquímico y morfométrico del músculo glúteo (Gluteus maximus) humano : un estudio previo para el diagnóstico de su patología(1986) Carpio González, Manuel; Carpintero Benítez, Pedro; Mesa Ramos, M.; Moya Jimenez, L.The normal muscles of young men and women were studied with histochemical and morphometrie techniques in order to stablish the normal muscular pattern for thc diagnosis of the gluteus muscle pathology. The NADH-tr activity showed three types of fibers and two types with ATPasc myosinic, everything compared to morphometric valucs which show thc light NADH-tr acthity fibers to have a higher proportion of them than !hose of high NADH-tr activity.
- Las artropatías neuropáticas tabéticas : (a propósito de la revisión de 27 casos de artropatía tabética)(1986) Iborra Bosch, J.Twenty-seven cases of Charcot's joints artropathy (Tabetic Arthropaty) are collected at the Orthopaedic University Department of the Medical School uf Valencia (Spain) along the last twenty-five years. Its clinical and radiographic aspects are commented. The treatment is discussed.
- Efectos del legrado y espongialización de la superficie articular de la rótula en el conejo : estudio experimental(1986) Gomar Sancho, Francisco; Gastaldi Orquin, E.A deep shaving of partial resection of the articular cartilague of the patella was performed in a first series of 14 rabbits following a 12 weeks rebuilding evolution. A degeneration of the remaining articular cartilague appeared after the seventh week giving way to severe ostheoarthritis of the patella. 1 n a second series of 18 rabbits a «spongialization» of the articular surface of the patella was performed, an histological study was followed along 36 weeks. The articular surfa-· ce was invaded by fibrocartilagous tissue from prolification and metaplasia of the subchondral marrow. This new tissue became progressively deteriorated from the fifth week. After nine weeks the degeneration became in severe ostheoarthritis changes. This experimental work leads to discuss the worth-while biological value of the surgical technique of deep-shaving and the spongialization for the surgical treatment of the chondromalacia and ostheoarthrosis of the patella, world-wide used.
- Efectos de la inmovilización prolongada sobre la cadera de la rata en crecimiento(1986) Garcés Martín, Gerardo; García Castellano, José ManuelAn experimental work involving immobilization of the right limbs of growing rats in functional position for a period of four weeks was performed. Histological, histochemical and blood supply distribution studies proved disorganization at different degrees in the femoral hea.d inviding the vessels from the eiphyseal «perichondral ring», causing the early ossification of the head.
