- Una historia que merece ser contada. Testimonio de Amparo Juan Izquierdo y entrevista a Natalia Arrieta / A story that must be told. Amparo Juan Izquierdo’s testimony and interview to Natalia Arrieta(2016) Simón Porolli, PaulaAmparo Juan Izquierdo (Torrechiva, Valencia, 1922 - Buenos Aires, 2012) was one of the thousands of Spanish republicans who, after the Spanish Civil War, passed through the French concentration camps. Her destiny was the concentration camp of Rouen, where she arrived alone, after leaving her sisters in the border. Years later, in the early fifties, Amparo emigrated to Argentina with her husband and son, and settled in Villa Tesei, province of Buenos Aires. From his home in March 2012, she told us her story. Her testimony is complemented with an interview with Natalia Arrieta, her niece granddaughter, whom she raised as a child and who is considered heir to her stories about exile and migration. - ¿La vuelta a los dos demonios? Cine y pasado reciente en Argentina: una lectura actual / The Return to the theory of two demons? Cinema and Recent Past in Argentina: a current reading(2016) Zarco, JulietaThis article focuses on the three "moments of memory" (Zarco, 2016: 12-13), meaning the space, the visibility and the limits that different governments have given to the reconstruction of Argentine recent past. Depending on the mnemonic strategy followed by each government, films productions have had more or less state support, thus implying greater or lesser public impact. To deal with the politics of memory of the current Argentine government, we must look into what we call the fourth moment of memory, "the return to the two demons (2016)", with the return to the "theory of the two demons ", already suggested during the government of Alfonsín (1983-1989).
- La diáspora obligada a partir del ‘arreo’: aproximaciones a poemas de Juan Pablo Riveros y Christian Formoso / Round-up forced diaspora in poems by Juan Pablo Riveros y Christian Formoso(2016) Mellado, SilviaEn una serie de trabajos, he abordado la representación de los traslados forzosos del pueblo mapuche y tehuelche (1870 - 1900), a partir de la imagen del ‘arreo’, en textos actuales del ‘área cultural sur’ (Espinosa 2014). El presente trabajo intenta continuar las indagaciones sobre las relaciones entre sujeto, cuerpo y mercancía vinculadas con la ganadería a partir de un corpus de poemas pertenecientes a Juan Pablo Riveros y Christian Formoso. En especial, las relaciones que se establecen entre el exterminio de los pueblos australes durante el proceso de colonización del siglo XIX y las detenciones en el marco de la dictadura cívico militar de chile (1973 -1990). - Localizando la política: subjetividad, publicidad y revolución en tres novelas recientes / Localizing Politics: Subjectivity, Advertising, and Revolution in Three Recent Novels(2016) Claesson, ChristianAbstract: In the wake of the economic and social crisis, Spanish fiction has looked for ways of reflecting (on) the political. One of the manners has been to attempt to understand how the crisis has affected subjectivity and, more concretely, how the subject navigates the society of the crisis. In this article, I study three recent novels—Alberto Olmos’ Ejército enemigo (2011), Bruno Galindo’s El público (2012) and Javier Moreno’s Acontecimiento (2015)—that try to respond to the present political and social situation. Despite their differences, the three novels carry out an exploration of modern subjectivity, above all in relation to advertising and social media, in relation to politics and the revolution. Among several similarities, I observe that the three novels, together with other recent Spanish fiction, call attention to a false consciousness of the present moment and propose a radical revolt as a possible political solution. It establishes similarities and differences in the management of built heritage, using examples of intentional and unintentional monuments that represent the dictatorial past. It proposes an interpretation centered in two different types of “democratic” memory and discusses an alternative model, which emerges from the academic dialogues that connect Spain and the Southern Cone. - Voces femeninas. Género, memoria y exilio en las narrativas testimoniales de mujeres argentinas / Femenine voices. Gender, memory and exile in women’s testimonial narratives from Argentina(2016) Davidovich, KarinThis article analyzes testimonial narratives: En estado de memoria de Tununa Mercado (1994), Una sola muerte numerosa by Nora Strejilevich (1997), Sueños sobrevivientes de una montonera: a pesar de la ESMA by Susana Jorgelina Ramus (2000), and Detrás de los ojos by Graciela Fainstein (2006) as forms of a feminine writing in exile that resists the centers of power imposed by official culture. These women survivors of the last dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983), through their accounts, reflect on memory, identity, trauma and writing in relation to their experiences as ex-detainees and exiles. The experience of exile appears as a condition characterized by multiple losses. However, it is precisely the identity instability caused by these losses that will push these women to write. Exile, as the psychological space from which they remember, becomes the trigger of a type of writing that aims towards the working through of trauma, and the construction of alternative feminine identities. - Exilios fragmentados en Luisa Futoransky y Alicia Kozameh, dos autoras de la diáspora argentina / Fragmented Exiles in Luisa Futoransky and Alicia Kozameh, Two Authors of Argentinean Diaspora(2016) Pfeiffer, ErnaEn este artículo se analiza el aspecto del exilio, forzoso o voluntario, en las obras “El Formosa” (2009) de Luisa Futoransky y “259 saltos” (2001/2013), de Alicia Kozameh, ambas escritoras argentinas exiliadas. Eterna viajera, que pasó años de su vida en Italia, Israel, Japón y China, la poeta, ensayista y novelista Luisa Futoransky (1939) vive en París desde 1981. Alicia Kozameh (1953), presa política de la Dictadura Militar, tuvo que exiliarse definitivamente en 1980, y vive en Los Ángeles desde 1988. Los textos analizados tienen en común el hecho de que son difíciles de clasificar según un esquema clásico de géneros literarios; juegan con elementos de la autoficción y del testimonio y son sumamente fragmentarios. - Infancia, exilio y memoria. Tres relatos de una infancia transterrada tras la última dictadura argentina / Childhood, exile and memory. Three stories of a translanded childhood after the last dictatorship in Argentina(2016) Meloni González, Carolina; González de Oleaga, Marisa; Saiegh Dorín, Ana CarolaEste trabajo aborda la cuestión del exilio desde una figura en particular: la infancia. Cientos de miles de niños y adolescentes terminaron por convertirse en desterrados o expatriados, debido a la situación política que atravesaba el país. A través de tres relatos autobiográficos de infancia y adolescencia, exploramos lo que supuso el exilio desde la experiencia de esas edades. Los tres relatos, narrados en primera persona y desde voces femeninas, nos sumergen en tres historias distintas. Sus protagonistas, aunque poseen edades diferentes, aparecen unidas por un único hilo conductor: cierta resignificación del exilio, del regreso y del lenguaje, emerge como condición de posibilidad de supervivencia para estos sujetos transterrados. - Una política de autores para Latinoamérica. (Nuevos cines y nueva crítica: Argentina, Brasil, México en los sesenta) / A politique des auteurs for Latin America. (New cinemas and new criticism: Argentina, Brasil and México in the sixties)(2016) Oubiña, DavidThe 1950s and 1960s are the decades of modernization in Latin America: it is the moment when industrial structures seem to fall out of phase in reference to the goals of the new filmmakers. During those years of aesthetic, cultural and political transformations, young directors define their poetics in confrontation with the old Studio system. Following the model of the politique des auteurs proposed by the critics of Cahiers du cinéma, the emergence of new cinemas in Latin America develops specific qualities according to the various national contexts. This essay explores the different reactions of these auteur films within the three national cinemas aknowledged, at that time, as the most powerful of the continent: Argentina, Brasil and Mexico.
