- Tumor glómico intraóseo : (revisión a propósito de un caso)(1988) Rus Mompó, Antonio; Gastaldi Orquin, E.A exceptional case of intraosseus glomus tumour is reported. A literature review is made. Authors enfatized about its clinical painfull, diagnosis, pathologic nature and ablative treatement, proposing nail reinsertion.
- Sarcoma Epiteloide : (aportación de un caso y revisión bibliográfica)(1988) Iborra Bosch, J.; Sánchez Marchori, Carlos; Calabuig Bayo, C.; Martorell Cebollada, Miguel A.A case of Epiteloid Sarcoma found at the heel (considered an infrequent Iocation) is reported. The authors carry out a bibliographical review. An histological and immunohistochemical study is made.
- Estudio crítico etiológico e histopatológico de la enfermedad de Dupuytren(1988) López Alonso, A.; López Fernández, J.; Díaz-Flores Feo, Lucio; Friend Sicilia, H.; Cortes, P.50 patients with Dupuytren's Disease (76 affected hands) are reported. The authors studied personal history and the association to certain illnesses (alcoholism, epiIepsy, diabetes, etc.). Tissue specimens taken during surgery of 12 of the hands were studied under optic and electronic microscope respectively, showing stenosans microangiopathy. The authors believe that the secondary hypoxia stimulate the colagen production and subsequent fibrosis.
- Tratamiento profiláctico por anaerobios con oxígeno hiperbárico(1988) Bento Gerard, Julio; Lison Torres, A.; Clavel, Carlos; Santonja Medina, FernandoThe authors report their experience in the use of hyperbaric camera in the management of anaerobic infections after important traumatisms throughout the period of time 1984-1985. A double blind study is carried out. The first group includes those patients under treatment with hyperbaric oxygen, once the anaerobic infection has been detected. The second group is formed by patients who received, during the 24 hours after the accident, profilactic treatment in the hyperbaric camera. The results obtained in the first group were 84'3% good, whilst in the second group there were no cases of anaerobic infection. Therefore, these results Jed authors believe that the use of hyperbaric oxygen must be applied in a profilactic way during the first 24 hours after the traumatism, in conjunction with an antibiotherapy and a good surgical procedure. - Puntualizaciones acerca de la aportación diagnóstica y terapéutica de las técnicas angiográficas en la patología tumoral ostearticular(1988) Jiménez Cisneros, Antonio; Hohr Gómez, C.; Cazalla Benedicto, F.; Jiménez Martínez, S.The author reports three cases of aneurysmal bone cysts with angiographic diagnosis with bibliographic review. This method is used for diagnostic usage or preoperatory embolisation method.
- Enfermedad de las sinóstosis múltiples : (aportación de dos casos)(1988) Bello Nicolau, M. L.; Albareda, J.; Seral Iñigo, FernandoThe authors reported two cases of familiar squeletic alteration, autosomal dominance inheritance, with synostosis of the carpus and tarsus bones, symphalangism, brachydactyly and hypoplasia of the fíbula.
- Osteotomías del iliaco en el niño : según técnicas de Salter y Chiari(1988) López Fernández, P; Guerra García, C.; Vázquez Suárez, G.The authors describe their experience with the SALTER'S and CHIARI'S techniques. 27 osteotomies are reported, with studies about theirs indications (congenital dislocation of the hip, Perthe's Disease), age of realitation roentgenographic signs (C. E. angle of Wiberg, acetabular angle). They also put through proximal femoral varus derotational osteotomy at the same time with the SALTER'S technique. They show sorne details of the technique and conclusions after their clinical experience are reviewed.
- Tratamiento de lesiones líticas benignas de hueso con metil-prednisolona acetato: : a propósito de 23 casos(1988) Galán Labaca, V.; Gómez Luzuroaga, M.A.; Armendariz Mendizabal, P.The authors set down their experiences in the treatment of 23 osteolytic bone injuries with intracystic infiltrations of Methylprednisolone acetate. They have both obtained excellent results with the essential osseous cyst and uncertain epiphyseal chondroblastoma in the non-ossifying fibroma and juxta articular osseous cyst, but negative in the aneurismatic osseous cyst.
- Miositis osificante circunscrita : una lesión benigna que plantea problemas de diagnóstico diferencial con procesos malignos (Presentación de cuatro casos y revisión de la literatura)(1988) Sanchis, V.; Patiño Bravo, A.; Fernández Fernández, C.I.Four cases of myositis ossificans circumscripta are reported: two cases occurred in healthty individuals without any history of trauma (pseudomalignant myositis ossificans) and two with history of trauma. We review the conceptual, etilogical, diagnostic aspects and the indications for removing the lesion in literature.
- Quiste óseo esencial : comparación del tratamiento quirúrgico con la inyección intraquística de corticoides(1988) Casas Puig, R.; Garcia Lazaro, J.; Curto de la Mano, A.; Parra García, J.I.The results obtained from the study of seventeen cases of unicameral bone cyst surgically treated are compared with the results in sixteen cases treated with intracyst corticosteroid injection. However, although there is a great proportion of the healed cysts injected, the healing is more secure with surgery. The cyst activity is the most important factor in bad results with surgical treatment, but not in final results obtained in a cyst treated with intracyst corticosteroid injection. It is recommended to control the distribution of the corticosteroid inside the cyst on previous injection of radiographic contrast.
