- La hospitalidad (senía) en Alcestis de Euripides(2014) García Muriel, Rubén JoséThe purpose of this paper is to analyse the theme of hospitality (senía) in Euripides'f play, 'eAlcestis'f. To do so, the paper begins with a lexical and semantic study of the word 'Ì.'Ë'Í. and other related terms in the play, and continues describing the relationships of hospitality as well as analysing the mechanisms through which the poet emphasizes the importance of hospitality as a social and religious norm.
- Welcome to Thebes: Breve diccionario de ginecomitología tebana contemporánea(2014) Cantillo Lucuara, Mayron EstefanThis article aims to focus on the reformulations or parodies 'in the Hutcheonian sense of the term' that British playwright Moira Buffini attributes to the female figures featuring in Welcome to Thebes (2010). To this end, I first go over their classical 'chiefly Sophoclean' meanings; I then proceed to analyse their new characterisation; I reveal the historical transtexts they evoke; and lastly, I bring to the foreground the rich complexity of the analysed mythical women.

Esta solidaridad puede presentarse a modo de silencio. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar este fenómeno a partir de pasajes especialmente relevantes en cinco tragedias de Eurípides: Medea, Hipólito, Ión, Ifigenia en Táuride y Helena.
- Comunicación y conflicto familiar en Las Traquinias(2014) Hernández Muñoz, NoemíThe author focuses mainly on the analysis of communication in Sophocles's Trachiniae. The acceptance or repudiation of the affective bonds by the main characters is analyzed by means of the use of family terms. Deianira's and Heracles's deaths are also studied, as well as the role of Hyllus as a communicational tool between his parents.
- La Andromaca de Manuel Lassala: una scena lirica setecentista(2014) Sebastià Sáez, MaríaThe focus on this paper is the presentation of the Spanish Jesuit Manuel Lassala Sangermán as a neoclassical dramatist and author of melodrama in the context of Italian settecento. My paper presents and provides a brief analysis of one of his five scene liriche: Andromaca. Furthermore, I shall examine its classical and contemporary sources.
