- La llengua abans de la lingüística, arran d'unes notes d'Antoni de Bastero(2001) Rafanell, August; Feliu, FrancescStarting with the as yet unpublished writings of the scholar, Antoni de Bastero, the authors reflect on this Catalan author’s interest on dialectal aspects of the Catalan language. This would place Bastero in the state-of-the-arts of dialectology in this country.
- Llengua i societat en la medicina tradicional i popular dels segles XVIII i XIX(2001) Martí Mestre, JoaquimThis text constitutes a study and critical edition of a Valencian prescription manuscript, from the beginning of the XIX century, which has remained practically unknown up to the present day. It juxtaposes early instances of the language in this genre with the presence of the traditional forms of the names of diseases or medicines in Valencian popular literature of the XVIII and XIX centuries.
- La guerra i la paraula.: Sobre els sermons patriòtics en Valencià durant la Guerra de la Independència(2001) Casanova, Emili; Martínez, Francesc-AndreuThe edition of two sermons in Valencian by Father Ramon Valcedo, given in Alcoi and Cocentaina to encourage the inhabitants to rise up against the Napoleonic invasion, highlights the use of the autochthonous language by the ecclesiastic hierarchy to get closer to the common people as late as the beginning of the XIX century in the territory of Valencia.
- Els poemes valencians de Josep Vicent Ortí.: Estudi i edició(2001) Furió Vayà, Joan MariaIn this article we are given an overview of the written production of J. V. Ortí, a member of a family of Valencia public notaries who had connections with the municipal government during the XVII century. This author, in spite of his pro-Bourbon ideology stance, often used Catalan in his writings, all of which have been published for the first time.
- La Relació verdadera de Maximilià de Tallada(2001) Lozano, JosepThis study and critical edition of a text by Cerdà de Tallada, which has never been published so far, deals with the expulsion of the Valencian Moors in 1609. The text, which is incomplete, contains, nevertheless, numerous facts of historiographic interest and is a remarkable example of Valencian chronicles from the Baroque period.
- Joaquim Aierdi i les Notícies de València i son regne (1661-1679)(2001) Escartí, Vicent JosepThe present article is an attempt at making the recent work by Joaquim Aierdi, the most interesting Valencian chronicler of the second half of the XVII century, better known to a wider public. Information is given about the author and the contents of his work.
- Els orígens de la paremiografia catalana contemporània(2001) Conca Martínez, Maria; Guia, JosepIn this contribution the author deals with the compilations of proverbs in the XVIII century and within the Catalan sphere of influence. These were the products of lexicographic interest produced by the Illustration throughout Europe.
- De L'Espill de la vida religios al desitjós: Notes a una novel.la al.legòrica del segle XVI(2001) Valsalobre, PepThe contribution of the author of this article to the study of this religious novel inspired by Ramón Llull is to demonstrate that the text we now know derives from a longer text, the author of which must have belonged to the Observants belonging to the Fransciscan order. The author also offers his reflections on diverse themes that have not been analysed so far in the abbreviated version of the «Spill de la vida religiosa».
