    Anna Murià: biografía, autobiografía, ficcions
    (2004) Espinós i Felipe, Joaquím
Anna Murià’s work is on the margins of Catalan exile literature. This article, conceived within the theoretical framework of autobiographical literature, is an attempt to contribute to the clearing up of some of the keys to its interpretation. The fictional and testimonial work of the author makes up a coherent and original autobiographical space.

Les novel.les dels camps de concentració
    (2004) Simbor i Roig, Vicent
This study analyzes the testimonial novels on concentration camps «K. L. Reich», by J. Amat-Piniella, «Crist de 200,000 braços», by A. Bartra and «El desgavell» by F. Planes, and compares them with some of the best known novels on concentration camps by European Authors (Primo Levi, Jorge Semproen, Robert Antelme and Imre Kertész). The main aim is to discover what the principal characteristics of such exceptional novels are. I have looked into the relation between autobiographical literature and novelistic fiction, the elaboration of a rather peculiar conception of time and space that makes up the true chronotope of the concentration camp, narrative options with regard to the narrator, etc. The final conclusion is that the testimonial novel describing life in a concentration camp is a model with very clear characteristics.

Mèxic en l' obra de Pere Calders
    (2004) Gregori Soldevila, Carme
Pere Calders’ long exile in Mexico gave rise, in a literary sense, to the works which critics have given the name “Mexican themes”: «Gent de l’alta vall», «L’ombra de l’atzavara» and «Aquí descansa Nevares», published together in volume 2 of his «Obres Completes», together with «Apunts per a dos contes mexicans». The principle aspects I will deal with in this article are the homogeneity or heterogeneity of these works in relation to the rest of Calders’ work, the discussion on whether his work can be described as “realistic” and their lukewarm reception of his work.

Els exilis de Vicent Andrés Estellés
    (2004) Carbó Aguilar, Ferran
This study analyzes the repercussions and treatment of the production of the Valencian poet, Vicent Andrés Estellés during exile. It takes as a starting oint different moments and texts both from the post-war period and the sixties and the beginning of the eighties –especially during 1956, a seminal year in the evolution of the author. On the one hand, I have carried out an analysis of intertextual relations with Carles Riba with regard to the referent “Súnion” and its appearance in the Llibre de meravelles. On the other, I have recuperated and made detail comments on the unpublished original version of the manuscript of «L’exiliat» from the end of 1956, in the book of poems Llibre d’exilis, which has been analyzed in great detail vis-à-vis its characteristic subject matter and poetic attitude. Finally, I have attempted to analyze the impact of these writings using the fictional strategies that appear in the works of the poet on the subject of exiled writers, entitled Cercles del Russafí and Exili d’Ovidi.

    (2004) Cortès, Santi
A selection of sixteen poems written by exiled Valencian authors. Two Anti- Franco falles erected in the cities of Texcoco (Mexico) and Perpinyà (France) were the inspiration for two of them. The others are patriotic and nostalgic texts in which the poets express their longing for the land they love and their desire to return to it.
