This is a legal reflection on migrant women’s right to a life free from violence in the European context. This brief study identifies the hard law and soft law legal mechanisms at the European level related to the protection of migrant women from gender-based violence, pointing out the progress and setbacks in this area. This research started from the European Union's human rights obligations in the framework of ECHR and ECJ case law and the Sustainable Development Goals, Agenda 2030, in order to highlight some of the actions and proposals on violence against migrant women.
