El proceso actual de la situación de los derechos humanos en Corea del Norte a partir de los años 90
The purpose of this doctoral thesis is to analyse the origins of the understanding of human rights in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), whose interest in this subject was aroused in the 1990s with the death of Kim Il-Sung and the subsequent food crisis that turned into a state-wide fatality causing the mass defection of its citizens to third countries, mainly through the People's Republic of China. As a result of the enquiry on the subject of North Korea, it can be seen what conclusions there are on the various aspects of human rights whose documents related to the systematic infringement practiced by the North Korean regime have been published by scholars in the native language and which deals with the real situation in the country, as manifested in the bibliography of this doctoral thesis, but also related articles, whether academic or specialised journalistic, with this subject matter. With this, the analysis will revolve around two fundamentals of great importance and which are necessary for this study, which are Constitutional Law and Human Rights.
