El microcrédito como instrumento de empoderamiento y de lucha contra la pobreza de la mujer: el caso de la mujer senegalesa de Ziguinchor.

This paper presents the socioeconomic landscape of the Senegalese region of Ziguinchor and addresses the challenges of women's empowerment and poverty reduction through microcredit. This has been made through in-depth interviews to low-income women who are beneficiaries of a national microcredit program. The work is also supported by various studies and research addressing the issue. The hypothesis is that microcredit empowers women to acquire economic resources that help them lift their families out of poverty and promotes their empowerment.
