This study aims to observe the business model of the most visited Spanish direct download link (DDL) and movie streaming sites. In 2015, according to Alexa Rank, onclickads.net, publited.com, adcash.com, popads.net or adf.ly were among the 150 most visited websites in Spain. They were able to compete for the first positions with websites like facebook.com, wordpress.es, marca.com, rtve.es or bbva.es. We present in the following article the reasons why these websites, connected to online advertising affiliate networks, regularly hold key positions in the ranking of most visited websites. To this end, we focus on studying the business model of most popular direct download and movie streaming sites in Spain during 2015: Pordede, DivxTotal, Series FLV, Pelis 24, Series Blanco, Series Danko and Anime FLV.
