Governança territorial i cooperació intermunicipal al País Valencià. Una anàlisis de les xarxes de cooperació local existents

In this publication we will analyse the reality of inter-municipal cooperation in the Valencian territory, based on the identification of the networks that the municipalities form between them and their intensity. Analysing the existing dynamics of collaboration between municipalities is of interest for public action to tackle a more effective territorial strategy, and is useful both for local governments themselves and for the regional government. The text is organised into three very different parts. The first includes the theoretical and conceptual framework, where the study of inter-municipal cooperation and the territory in relation to development, policy coherence and territorial governance is situated. Then we analyse the context in which intermunicipal cooperation is developed in the Valencian Country. Finally, it analyses all the existing forms and networks of inter-municipal cooperation and their implementation in the Valencian territory, as well as their aims and territorial scopes. The text closes with a final chapter of synthesis and recapitulation in which the contributions and conclusions of the work are reviewed and possible lines for the future in terms of territorial policy are proposed.
