Abstract
Tourism is a heterogeneous activity that can be practised by people with all kinds of tastes, beliefs, culture and even religions, and which has no limits or boundaries; nevertheless, there is always a group that is discriminated against or simply has more difficulties in reaching a standard level. Thus, although it is much easier for companies and public bodies to create a standardised tourism product or service than to adapt it to the needs of each of the people who are going to consume it, the tourism perspective - as in all other economic and social activities - is changing and has become a phenomenon in which difference, sustainability, accessibility and equality are valued. The main objective of this research is to analyse the current situation in Cullera with regard to the implementation of accessible tourism. Are people with functional diversity really taken into account when planning tourism? What proposals for the future does Cullera need in order to become a 100% accessible and inclusive destination?
