dc.description.abstractLeopold Trénor Palavicino (1870-1937) succeeds as one of the most influential writers and cultural activists of Valencia between centuries. He was a relative of the Trénor line, one of the most influential aristocratic families from the first third of the eighteenth century, characterized by a marked military, commercial and industrial tradition. Thanks to the influence of the Jesuit fathers of Valencia, he already accentuated his conservative profile and strove to spread the Catholic religion through numerous initiatives. At the same time, thanks to maternal transmission and contact with the cultural movement of the Renaissance, he became interested in his own language and literature. In a few years, he was able to obtain a doctorate in Law, he learned several languages throughout European countries and produced Valencian poetic compositions: at only twenty-three years old, in 1893, he obtained the Flor Natural award granted by Lo Penat Rat During the first third of the 20th century, he contributed decisively to the expansion of Valencian history, language and literature by financing, providing materials and representing various institutions such as Lo Rat Penat, the Casa de la Caritat or the Centre Escolar i Mercantil are some outstanding examples.en_US
dc.description.abstractLeopold Trénor Palavicino (1870-1937) rige como uno de los escritores y activistas culturales más influyentes de la Valencia de entre siglos. Fue pariente de la estirpe Trénor, una de las familias aristocráticas más influyentes desde el primer tercio del ochocientos, caracterizada por una marcada tradición militar, comercial e industrial. Gracias a la influencia de los padres Jesuitas de Valencia, por lo pronto acentuó su perfil conservador y se esforzó por propagar la religión católica a través de numerosas iniciativas. Al mismo tiempo, gracias a la transmisión maternal y al contacto con el movimiento cultural de la Renaixença, se interesó por la lengua y literatura propias. En pocos años, pudo obtener el doctorado en Derecho, conoció varias lenguas en cualquier parte de países europeos y produjo composiciones poéticas valencianas: con tan sólo veintitrés años, en 1893, obtuvo el galardón de la Flor Natural otorgado por Lo Rat Penat. Durante el primer tercio del siglo XX contribuyó decisivamente a agrandar la historia, la lengua y la literatura valencianas financiando, aportando materiales y representando diversas instituciones como Lo Rat Penat, la Casa de la Caridad, el jesuita Centro Escolar y Mercantil, el Centro de Cultura Valenciana son sus ejemplos más destacados.es_ES
