Els balls de torneig van tindre una gran importància a les terres valencianes entre els segles XVIII-XIX, però han sobreviscut en poques localitats, entre les quals destaca especialment Algemesí, on ja apareix documentat en 1800. En aquest article estudiarem les seues músiques, executades amb un tambor, i analitzarem, en primer lloc, els diferents percussionistes que han participat i, en segon lloc, els ritmes que realitzaven i la seua evolució fins a l'actualitat.- The tournament dances had great importance in the Valencian lands between the 18th and 19th centuries, but have survived in few localities, especially in Algemesí, where it was already documented in 1800. In this article, we will study their music, performed with a drum, analyzing first the different percussionists who have participated and secondly the rhythms they performed and their evolution up to the present day.
