Tipos nomenclaturales para las especies descritas por Léon Dufour a partir de material recolectado en el territorio valenciano (España)
(2020) Ferrer Gallego, Pedro Pablo; Vivent, Dominique
The checklist of the new taxa for the science described by Léon Dufour from material colected in Valencian Community (Spain) is provided. A total of 29 taxa were described in 1817, 1820, 1831 and 1860. In 1817 Dufour described 1 species, in 1820 described 12 species, in 1831 a total of 4 species, and in 1860 Duforur described 11 species. Silene tubiflora has Dufour as the autor of the name, but was described by N.S. Turczaninow. At present, 15 names of these taxa are valid, while 3 are illegitimate. Six of the effective names are basonyms. Eleven taxa are accepted with a range of species (incl. 1 nothospecies), and four at the subspecies level (incl. 1 nothosubspecies). In this paper, 13 nomenclatural types are designated, 12 lectotypes from Dufour original material preserved at BORD and 1 neotype from material preserved at VAL.

Novedades para la flora soriana, 2. Plantas arvenses, ruderales o neófitas
(2020) Molina Martín, Carlos; Mateo, Gonzalo; Montamarta Prieto, Gonzalo; Eugenio, Marcia
Continuing with the series of publications on the flora of the province of Soria (Spain) that precedes the review and reedition of the Floristic Catalogue of Soria (SEGURA & al., 2000), 25 taxa are incorporated, corresponding to vascular plants, which had not previously been recorded. A part of them are neophyte species from America or southern Africa that have recently appeared; others are weed, ruderal or road flora of paleotempered origin (Latecircunmediterranean Iranoturanian). All of them provide with an enlargement of their known distribution area, or with an improvement in the knowledge of their means and paths of expansion. The recent creation of big communication infrastructures such as highways or high-speed trains, or the development of a matted net of interregional and international markets of forest or agricultural products, together with climatic change, have facilitated the progress and genetic flux of neophyte or ruderal species between geographically distant areas. In the province of Soria, such arrival of new species that is facilitated by climatic change is more evident in zones of climatic transition of the iberoatlantic area, and between the mesomediterranean and supramediterranean levels.

On the identity of Abutilon arboreum (Malvaceae) in Spain
(2020) Verloove, Filip; Ferrer Gallego, Pedro Pablo; Laguna Lumbreras, Emilio
The identity of a recently detected population of Abutilon arboreum in the Valencian area was critically re-assessed. It was shown that the plants in fact belong to the South American A. grandifolium, a species that has become a widespread weed in warm-temperate and subtropical regions across the world.

La expansión de Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle en la Comunidad de Madrid
(2020) Enríquez de Salamanca Sánchez-Cámara, Álvaro
The tree of heaven is a species naturalized by much of the world. In Spain it is profusely cited only in Catalonia, despite being widely distributed. Until 1980 references in Madrid (province) were limited to the capital; in 1999 it appeared in 40% of the 10 km UTM grid where Madrid is included; and in 2019 at 77%. It appears throughout the territory of Madrid except for areas above 1300 m, being rare in the Sierra Norte and the southwest. Its expansion has been mainly radial from the capital, mainly following roads, with secondary points associated with plantations. In has been scarcely used in gardening, which shows its invasive capacity. It is currently in invasive phase, with local infestations. It invades especially ruderal areas, but it is increasingly common in riverbanks, and even oak forests. The species must be eradicated in areas where its invasion is still incipient.

    Novedades de flora soriana, 1
(2020) Molina Martín, Carlos; Mateo, Gonzalo; Montamarta Prieto, Gonzalo; Alcalde de Miguel, Julián
We initiate a series of publications on the flora of the province of Soria, Spain, which are previous to the review and reedition of the Floristic Catalogue of Soria (SEGURA & al., 2000), to incorporate 50 taxa corresponding to vascular plants which had not previously been recorded for the flora of province of Soria. Since the level of prospection in the Province is currently very high, these recent findings are all rare and scarce taxa in the province?s territorial context; some are peripheral or much localized, others are restricted to scarce environments and require them to be well preserved; in general, they show a presence extent very diffuse or fragmented in the Province. Another part are taxa recently described, commonly of a sub specific rank. All of them provide with an enlargement of their known distribution area, or with an improvement in their demarcation. Some floristic rarities and some regional novelties stand out, such as Beta maritima, Hippocrepis bourgaei or Lappula patula, besides other species that are very scarce, peripheral, relict or showing a fragmented area of distribution in the Province, such as Arbutus unedo, Hieracium prenanthoides, Gagea foliosa subsp. durieui or Hyacinthoides non-scripta.
