La química de los fenómenos cadavéricos
    (2018) Serrano Valenciano, Montserrat
When the human body dies, a series of phenomena appears in the corpse, known as ca -daveric, that involve in its establishment a number of changes physico -chemical as well as biologi -cal, result of cessation of vital functions and cellular activity. In this complex process that is death, the appearance of the cadaveric phenomena will follow a chronological order of appearance, where the chemical processes and their reactions will be decisive in the implantation and development of such phenomena. Based on this chronol ogy, these phenomena can be classified as early or consecutive and as well as late or destructive. Furthermore, as a consequence of various environmental factors, conservative phenomena of the corpse can occur which will slow the degrada tion processes, thus paralyzing the putrefaction of the matter. In this present work are show the chemical reactions which take place in the organism once death occurs as well as the chemic al compounds that give rise to these processes, giving a new approach to the study of the cadaveric phenomena

Estimación del intervalo postmortem en cadáveres hallados en el mar : evidencia publicada en el siglo XXI
    (2018) Chiang Palma, Lin Yen
Corpses found in water are a great challenge for Forensic Science; the difficulty in establishing a postmortem interval was a constant for the research teams during the 20th century. A review was made to look o ver the evidence published since the year 2000 regarding the estimation of a postmortem interval in corpses found in the sea; eight publications were selected, which were a nalyzed and compared, allowing to generate recommendations for forensic doctors rega rding the analysis of a body submerged in the sea and on what elements to investigate in the place of the finding, thus allowing to pronounce with certainty in these cases, based on scientific evidence.

El diagnóstico de muerte. La prueba de fuego en la práctica médica. Errores y mucho por aprender
    (2018) Quiles, Raquel
Death, understood as the end of life in its wider and general definition, supposes an intrinsically fact linked to all the li ving beings, since it i s the life's sine qua non. Through history, humans have felt for this phenomenon as much fascination as fear and similarly, death has been studied and i nterpreted from diverse areas such as religion, philosophy or art. However, as a biological phenomenon, death has been included in medicine studies since its early beginning, as for hinder or delay its appearance and to understand this complex phenomenon. Therefore, after centuries of medical advances, we have been able to understand lots of the issues about this phenomenon, being capable of creating its own legislation and manipulating it, mantaining alive the whom which for certain causes, have lost a part of its live condition. That is the reason why, after all this scientific and medical advances to diagn ose death, that is to say, the fact of determining if a body har bors life or not, don?t have to cause us many dificulties. Quite the opposite. Numerous medical mistakes in death diagnoses have led patients to premature burials, even in the XXI century. It seems that the correct death diagnose has been one of the most complicated and necessary medical tasks during all the history of medicine, a difficu lt that nowadays persists all over the world. Consequently, this project pretends to revise the mordern deat h concept and its legislation, underlining the amount of mistakes during the death diagnoses as well as discussing polemical issues, like the Lazarus Phenomenon, and finally to propose the regulatio n of a new medical praxis which contributes to a more effi cient and accurated diagnose of death

La comunicación semiológica en la escena del crimen y los peritos forenses en un asesinato
    (2018) Natareno Natareno, Ingrid Maritza
In a crime scene is inevitable the finding of certain but very sutil signs that could guide the forensics to a different evidences. This interrelation between crime scene and forensics is named ?communicative semiology? or ?semiology communicative. As it wo rks in medicine Semiology is the study of all the signs presented by a patient to his doctor which permits him to diagnose any illness, in crime scene this signs are very timely to find situations and circumstances that motivated the author of the crime as the ít er criminis that will permit known the probably close rela tion between victim and his killer. Likewise, to establish the time that took the preparation of the crime.
