- De las rentas mínimas a la renta básica de las iguales y mucho más(2010) Iglesias Fernández, José; Muñoz Rodríguez, David; Sáez Bayona, ManoloThe present article describes Citizens' Basic Income, and sets this in contrast to minimum incomes, including a description of the guaranteed citizenship income of the País Valencià. Citizens' Basic Income is a tool for social transformation linked to emancipating social intervention.
- Anàlisi feminista de les xarxes socials de les migrants colombianes al País Valencià(2010) Mut Montalvà, ElenaThe results of this piece of research2 on migrant women3 are presented from a feminist approach. The research shows the current diversity in migration processes and, specifically, the key role of finding out the social practices of political migrants. The differences and similarities found in the two groups' social networks and practices are identified and compared from a social point of view, through a completely new interpretation of the concepts of economic and political migrants. This research thus aims to understand the characteristics of participative practices within the group of Colombian migrants living and taking part in two societies at the same time.
- La acción social ante la crisis global(2010) Garcia Roca, JoaquinLa crisis global exige profundas mutaciones en todos los subsistemas de la sociedad, y requiere de nuevas conceptualizaciones, mapas conceptuales y transiciones técnicas en el ámbito de la intervención social. A partir de las convulsiones del Estado de Bienestar, de las reducciones presupuestarias, del aumento de las demandas en situación de emergencia, de las exigencias de la cultura actual del derecho y de los procesos de mundialización, se recrea el lugar de la acción social: como atención a las privaciones, despliegue de las capacidades y fomento de la acción conjunta. Asimismo, se necesita abrir la acción social a distintos actores: al Estado con sus administraciones, al mercado con sus instituciones, a los profesionales con sus saberes expertos, a la sociedad civil con sus organizaciones sociales. La actual crisis obliga a recrear la gestión del tiempo en la intervención social, en la medida que solicita su presencia en situaciones de grave emergencia y en procesos sociales. La actual crisis cuestiona la organización por sectores, que se construyó sobre la desconexión y la auto-referencialidad, para explorar nuevas formas de implicación y organización en red. Finalmente, se recrea el tipo de relación que no se somete ni a la lógica del beneficio, propia del mercado, ni a la asignación por autoridad, propia del Estado; el paradigma de la comunicación permite explorar nuevas relaciones en el interior de los servicios sociales.

La Llei valenciana de protecció a la maternitat(2010) Uceda i Maza, Francesc Xavier; García Muñoz, MaríaThe Generalitat Valenciana (Valencia Autonomous Community Authority) approved the maternity protection law one year ago. In this article, we talk about this law, its development and its connection with Valencian social services. We also make a point about the situation of social services faced with longstanding and new social needs to guarantee protection for people and groups in a vulnerability and/ or social exclusion situation. We conclude with the affirmation that this law does not propose any new policy in favour of maternity or anything new for the weak structure of social services.
- ¿Existe violencia en las parejas del mismo sexo?(2010) Reina Giménez, EvaEl presente artículo intenta dar respuestas a preguntas relacionadas con la existencia o inexistencia de violencia en parejas del mismo sexo. Al igual que intenta explicar cómo es esta violencia, a qué es debida, y si es similar a la violencia que ejercen los hombres contra las mujeres. Concluyendo el mismo, con diferentes propuestas de trabajo en relación a la violencia que se da dentro de las parejas del mismo sexo a nivel individual, familiar, grupal y comunitario.
- La organización y la gestión en los servicios sociales: el trabajador social en la organización y gestión de los servicios sociales(2010) Belis Herrero, VictoriaThis article seeks to encourage social workers to consider matters that have not been considered a priority among the functions to be performed in social work and which are nevertheless basic requirements if we want to ensure the endurance of the social service system in which a large number in the profession work. Providing the units, departments, services and areas in which we work with an organisation and management structure fostering the consolidation of the system, enhancing management of knowledge, tackling the matter of bringing quality parameters into the services that we give, establishing processes and defining procedures, as well as the need to systematise the information available to us and knowing how to sell the results of our collective work through service marketing, are the basic themes of the article.
- El treball social davanta la crisis(2010) Canet Benavent, EncarnaThe economic crisis is a time when the social sector professional has to live up to expectations by informing, raising awareness, helping with self-organization and mobilisation from our privileged position as intermediaries with the people, honouring our ethical obligation to fight for the social rights of the underprivileged and defending them. One cannot understand a social worker still managing to remain faithful to their ethical principles while not participating in denunciation and campaigning groups and not having motives for getting involved in the denunciation protests and mobilizations taking place all over the land today.
