Desactivar el sinhogarismo de larga duración

Beggars, vagrants, homeless, destitute, transients, streetwalkers, etc. Do these labels correspond to reality? Are we referring to maladapted people incapable of maintaining a home and condemned to live forever in the open? Or, on the contrary, are these situations reversible? What factors contribute to this? From a constructivist approach, this work offers an approach to residential exclusion in its most acute forms (literal or restricted homelessness) and prolonged in time, based on a bibliographical review and an approach to the vision and experience of various significant agents, such as the people affected themselves, professionals working in the field of homelessness, those responsible for managing resources for this population group and experts and researchers in this field. Their testimonies and analyses have made it possible to respond to the questions raised in relation to the prevention, planning, management and even the eradication or deactivation of homelessness, all contextualised in the city of Valencia.
