Reiske's edition of the Oedipus Colonus text modifies line 251. In it, instead of λόγος, which turns up in manuscripts, the word λέχος appears. With a few exceptions, most editors of the Greek text accepted the correction. In this paper, we argue that the use of λόγος deepens the political interpretation of this line. |
