El treball realitzat en aquesta tesi es va dur a terme durant els anys de funcionament del període Run 2 del Gran Col·lisionador d’Hadrons. Descriu dues anàlisis on els acoblaments de Yukawa del bosó de Higgs tenen un paper important per a la comprensió de la partícula del bosó de Higgs, descoberta el juliol de 2012. La motivació per estudiar els acoblaments de Yukawa rau en el model estàndard (SM) de física de partícules, el millor marc teòric desenvolupat fins ara per descriure el comportament de les partícules subatòmiques i les seves interaccions. No obstant això, encara té problemes sense resoldre. Per exemple, la modificació de la teoria per a explicar neutrins massius o per què es suprimeix altament la barreja de leptons carregats. Per tant, cal una bona comprensió i una bona mesura de les prediccions del model estàndard, en particular en el sector de la teoria de Yukawa. Al Gran Col·lisionador d’Hadrons, una manera possible de mesurar l’acoblament Yukawa dels leptons amb el bosó de Higgs és mitjançant la seva desintegració en un parell de leptons tau. El procediment per obtenir la mesura de la secció transversal del bosó de Higgs s’explica al capítol 4. A més, la secció transversal es mesura independentment per als dos modes de producció principals del bosó de Higgs, la fusió gluó-gluó i la fusió de dos bosons vectorials. Diversos resultats físics han demostrat l'existència de oscil·lacions de neutrins que només poden ocórrer si els neutrins són massius. Moltes teories que no són SM assumeixen que la barreja de leptons carregats podria aparèixer a la natura, permetent que el sabor leptonic es viole. Al capítol 5, es realitzen dues cerques independents de desintegracions del bosó de Higgs en leptons de diferents sabors. La primera part de la tesi estableix el context, tant teòric com experimental, en què es va fer el treball. La descripció del marc teòric del model estàndard, incloent el mecanisme de Higgs i les interaccions de Yukawa, es presenta al capítol 1. El capítol 2 descriu la configuració experimental, l'organització del CERN, l’LHC, l'experiment ATLAS i la reconstrucció d'objectes utilitzada en les anàlisis. A més, les simulacions de Monte Carlo i les tècniques basades en dades utilitzades per descriure els processos de senyal i de fons es descriuen al capítol 3 i a l'apèndix A.1. Finalment, el capítol 6 resumeix les principals conclusions de la tesi i les compara amb els resultats anteriors, així com les prediccions del model estàndard de física de partícules.

The work reported in this thesis was carried out during the Run 2 operation years of the Large Hadron Collider. It describes two physics analyses where the Yukawa couplings of the Higgs boson have an important role for the understanding of the Higgs boson particle, discovered in July 2012. The motivation to study the Yukawa couplings lies in the Standard Model of particle physics, which is the best theoretical framework developed so far to describe the behaviour of sub-atomic particles and their interactions. However it has still unsolved problems. For instance the modification of the theory to account for massive neutrinos or why the charged lepton mixing is highly suppressed. Therefore a good understanding and precise measurements of the Standard Model predictions are necessary, in particular in the Yukawa sector of the theory. At the Large Hadron Collider one possible way to measure the lepton Yukawa coupling of the Higgs boson is through its decay into a pair of tau leptons. The procedure to obtain the cross-section measurement of the Higgs boson is explained in Chapter 4. Additionally, the cross-section is measured independently for the two main production modes of the Higgs boson, gluon-gluon fusion and vector boson fusion. Several physics results have demonstrated the existence of neutrino oscillations which can only happen if neutrinos are massive. Many non-SM theories assume that the charged lepton mixing could appear in nature allowing lepton flavour violating decays. Two independent searches for decays of the Higgs boson into leptons of different flavours are performed in Chapter 5. The first part of the thesis sets up the context, both theoretical and experimental, in which the work of this thesis was done. The description of the theoretical framework of the Standard Model, including the Higgs mechanism and the Yukawa interactions is presented in Chapter 1. Chapter 2 describes the experimental setup, the CERN organization, the LHC, the ATLAS experiment and the object reconstruction used in the analyses. Additionally, the Monte Carlo simulations and data-driven techniques used to describe the signal and background processes are described in Chapters 3 and A.1. Finally, Chapter 6 summarizes the main findings of the thesis and compares them with previous results as well as predictions of the Standard Model of particle physics
