| ABSTRACT. In this work, I made a conceptual and justificatory analysis on legal punishment as a important element of the adjudication of criminal responsibility. For this, I proposed that the concept is of a normative nature when it comes to giving an account of how it is used within the legal-punitive practice. I argued that this normative character is articulated in different contents that make up different conceptions of punishment, which constitute the evaluative frameworks to carry out the justification judgment. | |
