dc.description.abstract	El proceso de cicatrización del organismo tiende a la reparación del tejido dañado, pero dicho proceso puede alterarse por distintas circunstancias. Por ello se pueden producir una cicatrización: normal, excesiva o insuficiente. El objetivo de este estudio es elaborar una infografía, para ayudar al profesional sanitario a realizar un diagnóstico diferencial entre las cicatrices hipertróficas y queloideas, y exponer las diferentes opciones de prevención y tratamientos más habituales. Material y método: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sobre el tema. Resultados: Se han seleccionado un total de 26 artículos, que nos han permitido realizar una infografía, estructurada en tres apartados: 1) Características comunes, métodos de evaluación y factores etiológicos. 2) Diferencias clínicas y patológicas. 3) Prevención y tratamiento. Abstract: Hypertrophic scars and keloids: standardization of criteria and implementation of knowledge Introduction: The healing process of the organism tends to repair damaged tissue, but this process can be altered by different circumstances. That is why scarring can occur: normal, excessive or insufficient. The aim of this study is to produce an infographic, to help the healthcare professional make a differential diagnosis between hypertrophic scars and keloids, and expose the different prevention options and most common treatments. Material and method: A literature review was carried out on the subject. Results: A total of 26 articles have been selected, which have allowed us to carry out an infographic, structured in three sections: 1) Common characteristics, evaluation methods and etiological factors. 2) Clinical and pathological differences. 3) Prevention and treatment.
