The Manila Galleon was a regular trade line between Mexico and the Philippines that run from the last third of the 16th century until the first years of the 19th century (1565- 1815), although the route lasted even after the return of the last ship (the Magallanes), by means of a series of minor vessels that extended the traffic between Manila and Acapulco until American independence. On the other hand, the creation of the Real Compañía de Fili - pinas enlarged these exchanges between the islands and America (especially with Peru, through El Callao, the port of Lima), including also Spain for the first time, in the same dates, so the Spanish commercial system in the Pacific did not bring to a close till 1820.
