| This paper proposes to study the legal consequences of the coexistence in French law of three modes of conjugality all defined by the civil code: cohabitation (de facto union), PACS (registered partnership) and marriage. The legal consequences, the rights and obligations of the members of the couple as well as their relations with third parties are modified with various justifications. | |
