This paper aims to study the coins found in archaeological context in the excavations of recent years, from the Roman villa of Los Villaricos (Mula, Murcia). There are 20 coin finds, dated between the II and IV centuries A.D. The coins have an archaeological context and have been found in the industrial zones of the villa. The present numismatic materials constitute the daily coin used by the peasantry, directly or indirectly associated with the villa. According to this, and thanks to the coins of Los Villaricos, we are able to have a better understanding of the Roman rural monetization in the current Region of Murcia, practically embryonic. | |
