dc.description.abstract	Alejandro Witker?s Prison in Chile was one of the most important testimonies in the early years of Chilean dictatorship. Their paratexts identified the act of bearing witness as a new kind of struggle in substitution of the traditional ways of fighting. Witker?s text developed some original textual strategies for representing the idea of collective experience and also for creating a ?documentary effect?.
