| This article examines an engraving from an ex-voto pamphlet published after the death of María Antonia Cervellón in 1746 by her parents, the Counts of Cervellón. The family had been living in Vienna since the Spanish War of Succession, in which the Count favoured the Habsburg candidate, the Archiduque Charles above Philip V. The ex-voto, made in Vienna by Italian artists, contains an engraving that portrays Luis Mercader, the Countess¿ ancestor, and a view of the Charterhouse of Valldecrist (Castellón). | |
