dc.description.abstract The polymethylmetacrylate bone cement reaction in clinical practice is conditioned in part by its biological activity and ageing An in vivo and in vitro experimental study was conducted to elucidate the possible implications of some bone cements mineral additives on bioactivity behaviour. ' Some substances (as quartz and wollastonite) can develop bioactivity phenomena when added to PMMA cement and may enhance its biological compatibility. es
