dc.description.abstract This report shows the profitability that museums, exhibition rooms and art can offer to two different areas in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language: linguistic and cultural. The museum exhibitions offer multiple resources which, with a good didactic work in the classroom, can provide the students with an approach to the language and the intercultural competence.This practical activity was carried out in two different groups of B1 and B2 levels, in two different temporary art exhibitions, about Sorolla and Victoria Cano in the Centre del Carmen (Valencia). The teacher and the students attended a guided tour of the exhibitions, in which they had to fill up a sheet of paper with relevant information about the exhibitions. The vantages of arts and the museums integration in Spanish as a foreign language are shown through the students impressions, expressed in their written texts after visiting the exhibitions.
