RESUMEN El presente estudio trabaja la obra cinematográfica y teatral de Agnès Jaoui, actriz, guionista, directora y cantante francesa que se dio a conocer en 1991 con la obra Cuisine et dépendances. Nos centramos en la producción existente entre 1991 y 2004, el corpus es de 7 trabajos: - Un air de famille y Cuisine et dépendances, son las primogénitas, ambas son obras de teatro en sus orígenes, convertidas en películas posteriormente por dos directores diferentes, Philippe Muil y Cedric Klapisch, respectivamente. - Smoking / No smoking, dos películas inseparables realizadas a partir de la obra teatral de Alain Ayckbourn, adaptadas al francés por la autora que nos ocupa y llevadas a la gran pantalla por Alain Resnais. - On connaît la chanson, guión original de Agnès Jaoui y dirección de Alain Resnais. - Le goût des autres, es la primera obra escrita, dirigida e interpretada por Agnès Jaoui. - Comme une image, es la segunda obra también escrita, dirigida e interpretada por la autora. El trabajo consta de dos partes diferenciadas. La primera parte es el análisis literario de cada una de las obras, realizado en grupos de dos dependiendo de su naturaleza, género y estilo y obteniendo con esto tres referentes: - Obras que han sido en su origen teatro y posteriormente se han convertido en cine: Un air de famille et Cuisine et dépendances. - Encargos del director Alain Resnais: Smoking /No smoking y On connaît la chanson. - Películas concebidas desde su origen hasta su finalidad como tales: Le goût des autres y Comme une image. Esta parte literaria concluye con una puesta en común de las obras para mostrar la evolución del trabajo personal de la autora. A continuación, analizamos el trabajo teatral y cinematográfico de la autora dentro de la producción teatral y cinematográfica francesa actual, centrándonos en sus referentes históricos a fin de encontrar la conexión de la autora con su momento de producción y sus contemporáneos, en primer lugar franceses y posteriormente las referencias artísticas mundiales. La segunda parte del trabajo es la relación de la autora con su entorno, su visión de la sociedad y las inquietudes de esta sociedad contemporánea actual. Así como también se estudia la puesta en escena de cada una de las obras de teatro y cómo se han concebido éstas dependiendo del país, el lugar, la compañía, los referentes de quienes las han llevado a escena, y la repercusión social que han obtenido en el público. De esta forma llegamos a varias conclusiones de naturaleza diferente que se nos plantean al inicio del estudio. En primer lugar nos preguntábamos si hay realmente hoy en día un cine de género, o cine de ellas, en el cual que la autora sea mujer repercute en la forma de abordar las diferentes realidades cotidianas. También nos preguntábamos si a finales del siglo XX y principios del XXI está de emergencia un nuevo cine social y cuáles son las expectativas que tienen público y cineastas. __________________________________________________________________________________________________

The present study analyses the cinematographic and theatrical work of Agnes Jaoui, actress, scriptwriter, director and French singer who became famous in 1991 following her masterpiece Cuisine et dépendances. We shall focus here on the productions made between 1991 and 2004, which include 7 pieces of work: - Un air de famille and Cuisine et dépendances, both are originally theatre plays which were then converted in movies by two different directors, Philippe Muyl and Cedric Klapish. - Smoking / No smoking two inseparable movies directed based on Alain Ayckbourns theatrical play, adapted to French by the author we are concerned by, and brought to the big screen by Alain Resnais. - On connaît la chanson original screenplay by Agnes Jaoui and directed by Alain Resnais. - « Le goût des autres » is the first piece of work written, directed and performed by Agnes Jaoui. - - Comme une image, is the second piece of work also written, directed and performed by Agnes Jaoui. The study includes two differentiated parts. The first part is the literal analysis of each of the screenplays, carried out in groups of two depending on their nature, genre and style, and with these three references we obtain: - Screenplays which were originally theatre plays and were subsequently converted to cinema: Un air de famille and Cuisine et dépendances. - Assignments from the director Alain Resnais: Smoking / No smoking and On connaît la chanson. - Movies conceived as such from the beginning: Le goût des autres and Comme une image. This literary part concludes with an overlay of the authors work to show the personal evolution of her undertakings. The second part of the study is the authors relation with her environment, her vision of society and the concerns of this present contemporary society. Also we shall study the staging of each of the theatre plays and how they were conceived according to the country, place, company, the preconceived notions of those who produced them, and the social repercussion that they had on the public. This way we come to various conclusions different by nature. Firstly we ask ourselves if there really is today a genre cinema, the so-called womens movies, and if the fact that the author is a woman had a repercussion in the way the different daily realities are dealt with. On the other hand, we ask ourselves if at the end of the 20th century and beginning of 21st, is emerging a new social cinema and what are the expectations that the public and the directors may have.
